The Team

Two partners, a legal counsel and a tax advisor who met whilst working at Ernst & Young Tax and Legal Department, form the core of our Law Office team. Both fluent in English their track records include assignments for leading multinationals and blue chip companies.

The closest associates of the Law Office partners are two legal counsels, one of which is a licensed tax advisor. They are lawyers with extensive experience in working for Polish and international businesses. Both are fluent in English.

Jarosław Waliszewski

Legal counsel, graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He started his career by serving an internship at the Poznań International Fair as a legal counsel trainee. In 1996, after completion of legal counsel training, he joined the Legal Department of Ernst & Young, Poznań Office. He was involved in most litigations conducted by Ernst & Young Poznań Office at that time, including cases tried under competition, commercial and civil law. Jarosław was also a member of the restructuring programme team at one of the Lower Silesian coal mines.

As legal counsel, Jarosław is involved in providing day-to-day services to businesses (mainly multinationals), particularly in the area of debt collection and agreements with international companies. He represents Clients in business negotiations and makes feasibility studies for international companies planning to launch business activities in the Poland. Jarosław is fluent in English.

Tomasz Jeliński

Tax advisor, graduated from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. In 1995, he joined Ernst & Young, where he specialised in issues related to the tax on goods and services (VAT) and the corporate income tax (CIT). He then completed a Certificate Programme for Tax Advisors at W. Modzelewski Tax Studies Institute. Later on Tomasz pursued postgraduate studies in accounting and taxes at the School of Banking. His professional track record includes participation in drafting business plans for startups and new branches of international companies in Poland, providing tax advice in restructuring programmes, mergers and company transformations. Between 2004 and 2007, Tomasz published commentaries on the VAT Act which at that time was updated every month. His area of expertise consists of providing tax advice to businesses on a day-to-day basis, tax planning and optimization. He represents Clients in proceedings with tax authorities and tax inspectors, and he appears before administrative courts. Tomasz is a sworn translator of English.

Marta Pietrzyk

Legal counsel, graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration, Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań (2002). She joined Waliszewski Jeliński Law Office in 2000. Later on Marta completed Postgraduate Studies in European Administration – Project Management. Marta specialises in civil law, commercial law, litigation and bankruptcy proceedings. She has extensive experience in debt collection for international Clients as well as in proceedings before arbitration courts. Marta is fluent in English.

Piotr Szkudlarek

Tax advisor, legal counsel, is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (2006). During his university studies, Piotr served an internship with the one of biggest Polish tax consulting companies. He started his professional career in 2006 as assistant tax advisor in a tax consulting company in Poznań and joined Waliszewski Jeliński Law Office in July 2007. He specialises in tax law and debt collection, including proceedings before arbitration courts (Court of Arbitration at the National Chamber of Commerce). He is expert in drawing up and analysing civil law contracts and is experienced in conducting bankruptcy proceedings. Piotr is fluent in English.

Paulina Pilip

Legal counsel trainee. Paulina graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Szczecin University (2013). She started her professional career in 2008. She worked in a law office and in a court bailiff's office. Paulina joined Waliszewski Jeliński Law Office in May 2011. She specialises in civil and commercial law, litigation, judicial execution and bankruptcy proceedings.
